During the sequence where Alex Trebek interviews the contestants, the current champ, Karen, mentioned that she and her husband name their pets after literary characters.
The husband got to name the cats.
Karen said, “I picked the dog’s name, and she’s Brigid from The Maltese Falcon.”
“Hmmm,” Alex said. “Not bad. . . not bad at all. . . .”
