Not long after doing his review of Nathan Ward’s The Lost Detective here on These Mean Streets, our frequent Guest Blogger Terry Zobeck happened on a paying reviewing gig close to home — for his résumé, he popped in the Nathan bit and also his coverage of Hammett’s The Hunter and Other Stories.
Didn’t need anything more than that. . . .
His first review for the Washington Independent Review of Books went live yesterday. A novel with a detective, who becomes a zombie, and some time-travel. Bodies stuffed with sand.
I can see Terry really getting in to the reviewer role, especially if he gets more Hammettesque fiction for perusal.
