Crime writer Mark Coggins just wrote with the news: “I finally transcribed my (long) interview with Joe Gores about the Falcon from 2007.”

Plus Mark mentions that a recent book has a Hammett connection. (You may remember that Tenderloin Terry Zobeck spotted a Hammett connection in an earlier book.)
Hammett fans who keep up with that sort of thing should check out his page for the new one. Mark apparently also throws in some Jack Kerouac — plus he tells me to look out for “one other San Francisco non-Hammett literary figure. If you recognize him.”
Will I recognize this mysterious figure? I’m guessing my odds are better than most.
